Youth Bowlers had an opportunity Saturday afternoon to improve their skills under the guidance of Carolyn Dorin-Ballard.
Starting at 1:30PM at AMF YORK ,after a short introduction, our young bowlers took to the lanes to show Carolyn thier skills and have her suggest improvments to their game,

The 2010 Bowlers Night Out and Awards Banquet
The 2010 Bowlers Night Out was held March 27th, 2010, at Point Plaza Suites and Conference Hotel in Newport News. Mr Jim Bohlkn served as Master of Ceremonies with Hampton Roads USBC BA President Joe Weitz and Peninsula Area USBC Youth President Anne Ray giving introductons and welcoming remarks.
Special Guest Speaker for the evening was Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, a 20-time winner on the Professional Women's Bowling Association Tour and a USBC Hall of Famer.
Hampton Roads USBC BA Awards
 • The Charles V. Smokey Denius, Jr Bowler of the Year was presented to Donald L. Hacke Jr not only for his performance locally on the lanes but for outstanding bowling at the 2009 USBC National in Las Vegas.
• The High Series for Hampton Roads USBC BA last year (2009) was an 857 with two of our Bowlers achieving this score, Donald L. Hacke Jr and Jason Palazzone.
• High Average for Hampton Roads USBC BA in 2009 again was shared by two Bowlers with Donald L. Hacke Jr and Brandon Smith both finishing with 234
 • The Charles W. Wood, Jr. Award of Merit was presented to Dennis A. Gouveia and Kevin A. Morris for thier service to the Bowling Community.
• President Joe Weitz and Carolyn Dorin-Ballard presented the Director of the Year Award for the Hampton Roads USBC BA to Venus Spencer.
After the Awards presentations and Dinner Carolyn Dorin-Ballard spent time speaking at length with those present, signing autographs and posing for requested photos.
